'HYMN' book presentation

'Hymn; signs of life' / Hymne; levenstekens' will appear soon. Anthems have been sung in many keys for millennia as a statement of the spirit of the times. This 'Hymn' in book form is a dance with the earth's biosphere, our sacred home and vulnerable home in a time of upset.

With great curiosity and passion, we, Erika Meershoek and Dennis Moet, have been working on it for the past three years. In words and images, it explores the cross-fertilization between faith, culture, nature and art. To this end, we had in-depth conversations with 15 people from different backgrounds about their worldview, spirituality and love of nature. And we visited many Breton chapels, churches and cathedrals, and been sensing and picturing the landscape and floral beauty. Inner and outer worlds met. All is one.

Erika translated the stories of those questioned into poetry that is both highly personal and universal in nature. Dennis has composed a visual story, with a refined sense of the sacred, serene beauty and intimate details. The presented tableau highlights soulful emotions, religious images and natural phenomena in interconnectedness as a polyphonic anthem. 'Hymn; signs of life' / 'Hymne; levenstekens' is a TyVert publication, beautifully printed with a Swiss binding in a numbered edition of 100, size 15 x 20cm, 112 pages with an introductory story, 61 photos and 18 poems (language Dutch).
